What should I add to refried beans to spice them up?
I have a can of refried beans and I plan to make bean and cheese burritos. The beans in the can are kind of blah. What can I add to make them flavorful?

Chopped green chiles, salsa, chile powder, onions, sour cream.
Cayenne powder Chili flakes Cumin powder Smoked paprika Finely chopped green onions Hot sauce
Some Mexican frenz... halp... :) I add chili powder sometimes... also a lovin' spoonfull or more, of brown sugar to beans, you may need to add some gooey substance to the re fried mush, like salsa in the mix... hahaha... ... sooo good!
Sounds like some form of onion might be in order. We prefer the red but yellow might be more in order. Diced jalapenos also are always good for that. I've become a big fan of sriracha in the last couple of years but it's more Asian than Hispanic. Nevertheless, it adds spice and heat without being overwhelming. Peace, Bill
Sriracha sauce. One squirt done.
Fry some small dice onion with minced garlic in some oil. When the veggies are tender, add in a pinch of cumin, and your can of beans. Heat thru, thinning them with some water if needed. Adjust seasoning with S&P. Chop some lettuce & tomato to garnish your burrito with. Salsa and sour cream if you like it.
Onion powder and garlic powder, bacon drippings, and some 1/2&1/2 cream.
Hot sauce
just add some seasonings like salsa, pepper, onion powder, garlic
Teaspoon of chilli powder, teaspoon of coriander, teaspoon of cayenne pepper, a little ground ginger. Mix together with a little water to make a paste then add to the beans. Nice curry taste.
Any number of veggies will help it out. Add some spices, even regular pepper will work.
Try a little Curry Powder, it's lovely!
Heat oil in a frying pan add chopped onions then some curry powder add beans.
peppers
Grab a Yellow Onion nice 'n flavorful 'n chop that thing!! Add a large tomato (chilled 10 minutes) and chop as well. A spritz of Tabasco or Tapatio or maybe for milder for some go with some pour-outs of La Victoria Green sauce. **And of course, Fresh Avocado in this case can never be overstated...such a given as it were none of us first four even menched it...kind of a backhanded compliment in a way of looking at it.** ADD...Howzabout a green bell pepper sliced into nice quarter-inch thick I shaped pieces as dippers? Save on forkery washes.
